He has since advised aspiring music producers not to drop out of college if they are not sure of their own future career outcome or lacking a defined plan before entering the industry. Upon hearing one of his produced singles " Tupac Back" began to enjoy success on the Billboard rap and Hot 100 charts, Mike Will decided to quit school and focus on his music career full-time. During this hiatus, he produced his first hit. Upon graduating high school, Mike Will enrolled at Georgia State University to pursue undergraduate studies mainly due to pressure from his parents, but chose to take a hiatus and eventually dropped out after several semesters, with a 3.1 GPA, to focus on his music career. He was initially ignored, but eventually one of his beat tapes made its way into the hands of Gucci Mane, who then invited Mike Will to Patchwerk studios, an Atlanta recording studio. By the time Mike Will was 16, he was spending time at local recording studios in Atlanta, trying to shop his beats to established artists. As Mike Will became more accomplished, he also began to use production equipment, including the Korg Triton, the Akai MPC1000, the Yamaha Motif, and the Roland Fantom. Īt age 14, Mike Will began to develop his own beats on a Korg ES1 beat machine, which his father bought for him as a Christmas present from the local music store Mars Music. In several interviews, Will has mentioned, in particular, re-playing the instrumental for " Still Fly", a popular song by the southern rap group Big Tymers, on a Casio brand keyboard, and has also mentioned re-playing " Young'n (Holla Back)" by New York rapper Fabolous on production equipment at a local music store. Mike Will first developed his talent for music by re-playing popular instrumentals that he heard on the radio while he and his friends would freestyle to them. His life also centered around a love of hip-hop music. While growing up, Mike Will was athletic, participating in many sports, including basketball, baseball, and football, with dreams of becoming a professional athlete. He grew up in a musical family as his uncle was an accomplished guitar player and one of his older sisters was a drum major in the Olympics. His mother, Shirley Williams, a former bank loan officer, was once in a gospel group, singing for Dottie Peoples. ![]() ![]() His father, Michael Williams Sr., is a former IBM executive who worked as a club DJ in the 1970s. Williams was born in Marietta, Georgia, the youngest of three children he has two older sisters.

![]() Note any things that would block your field of view or how much space will you have to screw your doorbell in (all video doorbells are substantially larger wider etc than the normal doorbell button) and pick your doorbell that way. ALL IN ALL to say, look at your existing location of your door bell and picture how you need to angle your camera. IN ADDITION, if you happen to have a brick face that sticks out in front of your doorbell, having or creating a wedge to angle your doorbell is necessary. If you are not planning on re-locating wiring and trying to use the existing doorbell's location, obviously a round doorbell may not fit if the doorbell is current screwed into a door frame beside a brick face. He is not joking when you need to make your purchase based on your needs. SHAPE AND SIZE - one thing I noticed about the OP posted doorbell was the SHAPE. Be aware of that before your purchase so that salt does not take over later.ĥ. TEMPERATURE CONSIDERATIONS - as OP mentioned extreme cold weather can knock out your camera and render it a useless button. These are best used as always on and sending video back to the server to be archived.Ĥ. Video doorbells are definitely not for you. UNLIMITED INTERNET - if you do not have unlimited internet turn around. Otherwise you could have a lot of disconnects (sending you in a furious rage rating whatever you bought poorly - I have a Nest and can see the negative reviews are based on that)ģ. I almost feel they need 2mbps dedicated to itself and if your house is internet use heavy (internet gaming, video streaming, multi users logged on at same time, etc) you should buffer way above the minimum. Most doorbells will say they need 2mbps but that is misleading. INTERNET SPEED - if your upload speed is less than 5mbps I would worry. I found mine relocated to a corner of the basement close to where the front door would be above.Ģ. The location of the transformer can be tricky especially if you have a finished basement. Older homes may not have the proper transformer because way back when the home was built doorbells were not meant to draw tons of power. TRANSFORMER - youtube how to check to see if your transformer is 16-24v. The only think I would add is that anybody interested in getting any video doorbell some considerations (as they become a source of A LOT OF SALT no matter what brand you buy):ġ. I haven't tried setting up my Alexa to unlock the door but locking works fine. I have the motion sensor and doorbell setup to turn on my porch light automatically. Video quality is excellent as is the field of view. Intercom is pretty good with not much delay. Now I just leave it be and eventually the recorded videos come back. The first time I factory reset the camera and that did nothing. Several times over the last year, recorded videos became inaccessible. ![]() I had to turn off motion sensing for that evening and then from then on I told my family to turn off the porch light when not needed to avoid attracting bugs. This past summer when all the evening bugs were in full effect, the motion sensor was being set off constantly. A slow moving garbage truck can sometimes set off the motion sensing. Due to the angle of my camera, only half the camera's field of vision can see the street, which is about 25-30 feet from my front door. Temperature and weather have not caused any issues in Laval, Quebec. I have the Skybell HD for over a year now.
